This page has everything you will need to create questions for the Question and Response part of Community Check. At the top of the page is the Set player (3) that can be played with the Play button (3a). This player is loaded with the translated set. To the right of this player is the Flag button (4) that can be placed in a specific place in the set where you would like to ask a question (3b).

Below the Set player you will see your Question Recorder (5). After you plant a flag, you will be able to record a question or add more to that question (5a). If you want to listen to your recording, press the Play button (5b). You can also select your recording (5c), or if you used the Append button and have appends, select a piece of the recording, and delete that part of your recording (5d). If you want to ask another question in the same exact spot in the set, you can use the Question Plus button (7) and this will add another tab (5e) to the Question Recorder. Using the Question Plus button will also add another dot to the flag line in the Set Player. If you want to delete an entire Question Tab, press the Question Delete button (7). After you have recorded one or more questions for the set, you can press the Finished button (8) and you will be brought to the next set in Community Check Setup or your Home page if there are no more sets to work on.

HOW WORK PROGRESSES IN COMMUNITY CHECK

Now that you are more familiar with the Setup page, let’s look at how your flags and questions in Community Check Setup will progress in the actual Community Check process. This should help you to better understand how to set up your questions. The picture on the top shows you the different pieces of Community Check Setup. The bottom picture is the same set in Community Check Question and Response.

Both of these screens show:
1. Current flag location
2. Portion of set audio up to the flag
3. Question

4. Next Question Tab

In Community Check Setup, you are planting flags (1) in specific locations. In Community Check, the flag location (1) corresponding to the current question will be highlighted. Note that there is not a specific dot highlighted, as this flag location is pointing to a specific place in the set audio, not a specific question tab. Where you place your flag in the set is important, as it corresponds to the audio that the community will listen to before responding to your question. This portion of the set audio (2) will be loaded in the left bar player in Community Check. This bar player will play the audio from your last flag (or the beginning of the set) up to your current flag. Before answering your question, the community will listen to the translation audio leading up to your question (2). In Community Check, the right bar player is loaded with one recorded question (3). This is the audio of one tab (3) in in the current flag location that you record in Community Check Setup. Any appends within one tab will be on the same bar player for Community Check. During Community Check, Render will feed the user a new Question and Response page for each question tab (4). If you have multiple tabs in the same flag location (more than one dot on the same vertical line), Render will feed the user the question from the leftmost tab first; then moving right, it will feed the user a new page for the next tab.
