There are two types of users in Render -

  1. Global User - Pre-created with the project (Configure, Consultant)
  2. Render User - Created from Render application (Translation Team, Back Translator, etc.)

Now let's create Render Users for the project.

From the Project Configuration settings, go to Manage Users

then click on the Add User button at the bottom.

You will enter the "Edit User" screen:

  1. Add a name for the user in the box by the user logo (1). On the right side of the box, it should say Render in light blue, indicating that it is a Render/local user.
    • On the very right of the same line as the box, you will see the Delete User option, which will delete that user from the project.
  2. Click on Localization drop down menu (2) and select an interface language for that user
  3. On Password Type dropdown menu (3), select between -
    • Grid Password - Drag a line/pattern over the dots and leave it like that. Click Reset if you want to retry.
    • Text Password - Type in a text password which can include letters, numbers, signs in the box. The text password is case sensitive. On the right side of the text bar, you have the option to View the password you have typed up, and clicking Generate will produce a random password for you.
  4. After you have filled out all the information, click on the Next button (4) at the lower right to save your changes or click on the Back button at the upper left to discard any changes made and leave the page.
  5. Repeat these steps to Add each user required for the project. You will end up with a list similar to this one for a standard project involving 2 translation teams, one Back Translator, and a Consultant-In-Training:

After you have filled out all the information, click on the Next button at the lower right to save your changes or click on the Back button at the upper left to discard any changes made and leave the page.

You can also edit any pre-existing user the same way above. Simply click on the user to enter the Edit User screen.

After creating all of the users for your project, follow the steps in the article "Role Assignment Steps" to assign each user to their roles in the project.
