Downloading Render allows you to begin the oral translation process. 

Please follow the steps below, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions!



1. Get the installer file. 


  1. NEW PROJECT users go to this site and click the "Download Render" button in the bottom right corner of the webpage. You do NOT need to login.

  1. MIGRATING users:

As of April 1, 2025 a computer running a version of the Render software below 3.11.3 will need the assistance of the Render Helpdesk to get upgraded to the latest version of Render. Please submit a ticket for assistance by filling out this form: Submit a ticket : Render Helpdesk Please do NOT continue to use versions of Render older than 3.11.3.




2. In your "Downloads" folder, or in the browser's "Downloads" section, look for a "Render_3.X.X.X_Installer.msi" file (please verify that your file is "Render 3.11.3" or higher).

  • If you've downloaded Render before, your installer file may have a number in it.
    For example: Render_3.X.X.X_Installer(1).msi. It is safe to run this installer file or the one with no number.

3. Once you locate the correct Render_3.X.X.X_Installer.msi file, double-click on it to run the installer. Make sure that an older version of Render 3 is not running in the background.


4. After the installer completes installation, you can now run the Render 3 application. You might run into some issues -

    a. You receive a Windows message that the program was unable to run. Most likely you have antivirus software preventing Render from opening. In this case, temporarily suspend the antivirus software and run the setup program again. We would recommend running the Windows Defender as the anti-virus protection. We do not recommend any third-party anti-virus program.

    b. Windows will give you a warning from Smart App Control. Please allow Render 3 in there.


5. Once Render 3 is open, it will ask for your Username and Password. You will also have the option to add a project via Project ID. Please see How to Log in on Render 3 to log in to Render 3.


6. Uninstall older versions of the Render 3 software
